Department of Medicine has 6 units with total 180 beds. Separate male and female wards are available. Routine procedures like pleurocentesis and pleural biopsy, Ascitic tap, Lumber Puncture, Bone Marrow Aspiration and biopsy, Liver biopsy, Kidney biopsy and Intra asticular injections are routinely carried out here.

There is a separate Medical OPD complex attached to the hospital. Total number of rooms in Medicine OPD is four. Here old and new medicine patients are routinely examined and treated. Super specialty clinics (Gastroenterology, Neurology, Cardiology, Hematology and Nephrology) are routinely running under the supervision of various super specialists here.

A six bedded fully equipped Medical ICU is running in the department of Medicine. In this each bed is equipped with bed side cardiac monitor, defibrillator and infusion pump with continuous nursing care and two ventilators are available here.

There is a departmental library with 301 books. Reference books, Journal, Text books are available in the library. Library has adequate sitting arrangement. New books are added every year to keep the library updated.

There are two spacious seminar rooms with sitting capacity for 25 student�s multimedia facilities (2slide projectors and 2 overhead projectors) are available for the presentations. Seminars and Case presentations are regularly being carried out here.

There are two class rooms for postgraduate and undergraduate teaching with adequate sitting capacity.

There are two air conditioned lecture theaters of 150 student�s capacity with multimedia facilities.

There are twelve ECG machines which are routinely being used for ward and OPD patients.

There is one Echocardiography machine (Philips MDDIIXE) in the department. 2D Echo, M mode, Doppler is routinely done. Pediatric Echocardiography is also available.

There is one TMT (Tread Mill Test) machine (Mortars instrument x scibe II) in the department stress tests are being regularly carried out.

There is a Dialysis unit in the department with 4 Hemodialysis machine (Fresexius Hemodialysis machine 4088 and Fresexius Hemodialysis machine 20085) 24hours emergency and routine Hemodialysis is being carried out.

There is a video EEG 32 channel machine in the department. EEG is being routinely done for various neurological and psychiatric disorders.

Upper GI and Lower GI endoscopy done in the department. Two upper GI endoscopies (EG-201 FP, Fuzinan) are available. Routine endoscopies both diagnostic and therapeutic are done. Research work is done using this instrument.

Colonoscopy and Sigmoidoscopy are routinely done in the department. Two endoscopes (EC-201 WL, Fuzinan) are available. They are being used for various gut disorders.

Bronchoscopy is being carried out in the department. Two fibre-optic bronchoscopes are available. Brush biopsy, endobronchial biopsy, bronchoalveolar lavage, foreign body removal is carried out routinely. Bronchoscopic intubation is being regularly done. Research work is done using this instrument.

Spirometry is being done in the department. Computerized spirometry with all parameters is available.

There are 15 X-Ray view box which are available in the department.
