Dissection to Reconstruction-Producing Excellence

Named after the fourth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Ram Das Ji, the founder of holy city of Amritsar, the Institute of Medical Sciences & Research was started in the year 1997. The first batch passed out in December, 2002. Initially, the Institute was affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (upto Admisison Batch 2016) and now it is affilited to Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences, Sri Amritsar (from Admission Batch 2017 onwards).

The MBBS degree is duly recognized by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, vide Letter No. U.12012/224/2015-ME.1 [FTS.130652] Dated 28-03-2018. The clinical teaching of medical students is conducted at Sri Guru Ram Das Charitable Hospital, Vallah. This hospital is having all the latest equipments and facilities for 150 M.B.B.S. admissions and Post Graduate (MD/MS) courses in several clinical, para-clinical and basic subjects.
