(The Department of Genetics facilitated a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SGRDUHS and the Organization for Rare Diseases India (ORDI) on 27th July 2023 under which a Rare Disease Care Coordination Centre (RDCCC) will be established at the Department of Genetics)
  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
(MOU signed between Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Department, Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences, Sri Amritsar and Agriculture Department, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar to enhance the industrial exposure and professional guidance for the students along with availability of Mentorship for the students for their thesis, academic projects and practical workshops. The MOU was signed by respected Dr. Baljit Singh Khurana, Registrar (Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences, Sri Amritsar) and respected Dr. Monica Gulati, Registrar (Lovely Professional University, Jal)
  Vertigo Lab
(Department of ENT has been equipped with a state-of-art Vertigo Lab. Latest equipment like VNG, facilities for Caloric testing, Positional testing and Cerebellar testing have been provided. Inner ear function testing like BERA, ASSR, Electrocochleography, and Audiological facilities for evaluating pathologies are available. The international standards of diagnostic and therapeutic management in our vertigo specialty clinic will provide hope to innumerable people suffering from balance disorders.)
  Cochlear Implantation
(50 implants have been done since May 2018 (31 males, 19 females))
  Thalassemia ward
(A 6-bed ultra-modern Thalassemia ward has been started. Blood transfusions using leuko filters and other facilities will be provided free of cost.)
  Advanced Wound Care Center
(Advanced Wound Care Center was inaugurated at Sri Guru Ram das Charitable Hospital, Vallah. Dr. Hardas Singh was the Chief Guest. The center will deal with complex and neglected wounds as in diabetic foot ulcers, bedsores, varicose veins, lymphedema, leg ulcers and non-healing wounds etc.)
  Covid Panel
(Apart from SARS-Cov-2 testing by RT-PCR and rapid COVID-19 antigen test, the Institution has started Anti SARS-Cov-2 Total Antibody test, Anti SARS-Cov-2 Ig Antibody Test and Covid Panel.)
  Punjab Chapter
(On the occasion of World Hospice Day, Sri Guru Ram das University of Health Sciences, in collaboration with National Association of Palliative Care for AYUSH and Integrative Medicine (NAPCAIM) and Cancer Aid Society, has launched its Punjab Chapter, inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor.)
  Humphrey Field Analyzer 3 (HFA-3)
(Humphrey Field Analyzer 3 (HFA-3) has been installed in the Ophthalmology department. This is an advanced integrated imaging system for faster and more accurate diagnosis of glaucoma. Salient features include expansion of testing options, guided progression analysis to determine if visual field loss is progressing, streamlining of workflow and synchronisation of data.)
  Open Heart Surgery
(Open Heart Surgery initiated - Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) department conducted its first open heart surgery successfully on a 36-year-old female having ostium secundum ASD with severe PAH, categorized as a high risk surgery. The department has already performed thoracic surgeries of which the last two cases were of mediastinal tumor.)

(Empanelled under “Mukh Mantri Punjab Cancer Rahat Kosh Scheme” (MMPCRKS) for free treatment of cancer patients of Punjab State.)

(Empanelled under “Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund” (PMNRF)scheme.” This being only Medical Institute empanelled under the scheme out all of all the Private Medical Colleges.)

  Environmentally sound management of Biomedical Waste
(The institute has been selected for UNIDO project on environmentally sound management of Biomedical Waste in Punjab vide letter no. 28-04-15 Ref no. EPA/2014/UNIDO/No: 830-57. The Project is coordinated by Dr. Harjot Singh, Nodal Officer (Biomedical Waste) along with Project officer Ms. Sugandha Ralhan, Assistant Project Officer, SPMU UNIDO Project, PPCB Mohali.)

(Free treatment given to patients of: Pingalwara, Yateem Khana (Orphanage), J and K State (irrespective of caste and creed), Patients from 5 adjoining villages of Vallah, Free of cost medical facilities to the devotees and tourists to Golden Temple in case of any mishap during their Pilgrimage, Adopting 5 border villages from 3 districts i.e Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Gurdaspur.)
