Department of Anatomy - Faculty

She has been appointed External Examiners in many Graduate and Postgraduate Examinations. She has attended many National Conferences and has chaired sessions.

Dr Arora is a reviewer in many International and National Journals. Her active interest in research is evident from 67 publications in International and National indexed journals. Dr Arora is a member of editorial board of International and National indexed journals.

She is a Life Member of the Anatomical Societies/Associations of India.

She has been appointed as external examiner in many undergraduate and postgraduate Examinations, has guided many MS and PhD students and presently is the supervisor of  four  candidates pursuing PhD in Anatomy.

She has participated as guest speaker, chairperson, panelist and resource person in more than 50 conferences.She successfully hosted conferences of NSCASI (Organizing Chairperson) and SOCA (Organizing Secretary). She has been the president of NSCASI (North State Chapter of Anatomical Society of India) in 2015-16. Presently she is Executive member of SOCA. She has 41 International and 21 National Publications in indexed journals. She contributed a chapter entitled ‘Those who pledged and donated their dead bodies for dissection and research’ in the book  ‘Body Donation, Embalming and Related Issues’. She is on the advisory board of NJCA (National Journal of Clinical Anatomy), NSJA (North States Journal of Anatomy), and on the panel of reviewers of many national and international journals.

She is Life Member of several Societies/Associations, including Indian Medical Association, National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) ,Society of Clinical Anatomy (SOCA), Anatomical Society of India(ASI) and  North States chapter of ASI.

She is convener of ‘Synapse’ a monthly update of SGRDUHS, member of SGRD University Council, Faculty of Medical Sciences, UG Board of Studies, PhD screening committee, Application screening committee, High purchase committee, Grievances committee for students and an active member of NGO ‘phulkari’ working for women cancer education.

She has special interest in the field of genetics

She has attended more than 30 International and National Conferences and has chaired sessions. She was appointed as faculty advisor for the FAIMER fellowship program from 2012 to 2015. She is adjunct faculty of MEU (Medical Education Unit) and Curriculum sub-committee of SGRDUHS. She is the resource faculty for an online workshop of CBME-Anatomy conducted under the aegis of MEU India.

Dr Salwan has 10 publications in National and International indexed journals.  She is Life Member of Anatomical Society of India, North Chapter Anatomical Society and Society of Clinical Anatomists.

She has special interest in neuroanatomy.

She has attended more than 25 International and National Conferences. She is a reviewer of one International and National Journals and has been appointed as External Examiner in undergraduate Examinations. She has 28 International and 30 National Publications in indexed journals.

Dr. Seema is a Life Member of three anatomical societies- Anatomical society of India, Society of Clinical Anatomists, and Society of North State chapter of Anatomists

She has special interest in Genetics

She has done the Basic Course in Medical Education, Research Methodology course and a course in e-learning.

Dr. Poonam Verma has attended more than 40 National Conferences with 3 paper presentations. She has 35 International and National Publications in indexed journals. She is a Life Member of Anatomical Society of India, Society of Clinical Anatomists and North State Chapter of Society of Anatomists.

She has special interest in genetics.

She has  work experience in Blood Bank, Cardiology and Urology at PGIMS, Rohtak. She was invited as Adjunct faculty for ACME in 2019. She is a member of Bioethics unit of International network - UNESCO Chair Haifa. She is a member of the Medical Education Unit and is a faculty member in MEU workshops. She was elected as a member of National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) in 2018

Dr Lalit has 20 presentations in many conferences and chaired scientific sessions. She received a prize in one of the oral papers. She has 44 publications in National and International journals. She was a contributor to the debate on procurement and use of cadavers, published in Argentina Journal of Clinical Anatomy. She is a reviewer of 2 textbooks of Anatomy - Grant’s Dissector and Langman’s Medical Embryology, and has reviewed papers for journals. She is currently involved in 2 research projects.

She is an executive member of Society of Clinical Anatomists (SOCA) and a Life member of ASI, NSCASI, SOCA.

She has completed the advanced course in Medical Education (ACME) and is a member of the Medical Education Unit of the Institute. She has also undertaken Basic and Revised Basic Training & AETCOM training and has participated as faculty in various MEU workshops. She has also completed Bioethics training, the 3T- IBHSc Training Course for Health Science Faculty. Presently she is undertaking a Basic Course in Biomedical Research.

Dr Sachdeva was a part of the organizing team of various conferences, including 10th Annual Conference of North States Chapter of Anatomical Society of India and the 5th National Conference Society of Clinical Anatomists (SOCA). She has attended around 43 conferences, presented 5 papers and chaired scientific sessions. She has 22 publications in indexed journals, of which 11 are research articles, including 18 in International and 4 in National Journals.

She is a life member of Anatomical Society of India, Society of Clinical Anatomists and North Chapter of Anatomical Society
