Department of Surgery
- The Department of Surgery includes 6 surgical units with dedicated faculty delivery quality healthcare.
- The department has a total of 180 beds with separate male and female wards. Each ward has its separate procedure room.
- There are 5 main operation theatre rooms, 2 emergency O.T, 2minor O.T. rooms. All the routine general surgical procedures including advanced cancer surgeries are being done. Super-speciality procedures like Laparoscopic procedures. Urology, paediatric surgery, plastic surgery microvascular surgery and neuro surgery are being done by respective consultants.
- There is a separate surgical OPD complex attached to the hospital. where old and new patients are routinely examined & treated. Super specialty clinics (Paediatric, Neuro, Onco, Gastro & Plastic) are routinely running.
- The department provides emergency treatment of traumatic and non-traumatic emergencies round the clock.
- A 9 bedded fully equipped surgical ICU is running in the Surgery department. Each bed is equipped with bed side cardiac monitor; ventilator defibrillator & infusion pump with continuous nursing care.
- The Upper GI & Lower GI endoscopies are being performed in the department.Two Upper GI endoscopes (EG-20) FP Fuginon and Colonoscope and Sigmoidoscopy available.
- The department has its own library with reference books, Journals and text books. New books are added every year to keep the library update.
- There is a departmental museum with specimens for PG & UG teaching
- There are two spacious seminar rooms with sitting capacity of 50 students; Multimedia facilities (2 slide projectors & 2 Overhead projectors) are available for the presentation.
- We strive to deliver the highest quality of clinical care, conduct innovative research and provider the best training to our resident surgeons
- There are two class rooms for PG & UG teaching with adequate sitting capacity.
- Routine endoscopies both diagnostic & theropatic are done. Research work is done using this instruments and the supervision of various specialties.
- There is two spacious seminar rooms with sitting capacity of 25 students, Multimedia facilities (2 slide projectors & 2 Overhead projectors) are available for the presentation. Seminars & Case presentations are regularly being carried out here.
- There are two class rooms for PG & UG teaching with adequate sitting capacity.
- All types of facilities (Chemo therapy & Radiotherapy) are available to treat cancer patients.
- All types of Neonatal Surgery, Padiatric Surgery including endoscopic procedures are carried out.
- Neurosurgical procedures:- Brain & Spine Trauma, tumours, Spinal fixation .
- Colonoscopy and Sigmoidoscopy are routinely done in the department. Two endoscopes (EC-201 WL, Fuzinan) are available. They are being used for various gut disorders.
