Dr Arvinder Singh Sood did MBBS (1995) and MS (2001) in Otorhinolaryngology from Government Medical College Amritsar. Presently, he is Professor and Head, Department of Otorhinolaryngology at SGRDUHS.

He has attended more than 50 International and National Conferences and has chaired sessions. He has been appointed as an External Examiner for MBBS and MS in various reputed Institutes. He is a reviewer of many International and National Journals including the prestigious Indian Journal of Otorhinolaryngology.

Dr Sood has more than 50 International and National Publications in Indexed Journals and has evaluated more than 100 Theses of MS Candidates from colleges all over India. He has been selected to deliver a talk in an International Conference in Beijing, China.

Under his headship, the Department of ENT has conducted 3 National and 1 International Conferences apart from launching the programs ‘SOUND’ (Screening of universal neonatal deafness) and ‘SOCH’ (Screening of oral Cancers and hygiene).

Heis a life member of Association of Otorhinolaryngology of India and Indian Medical Association.

He has special interest in otology and cochlear implantation.

Dr. Pooja Pal did MBBS (2005) with 1st Prize in ENT and Forensic Medicine and Late Dr. Shripad Anand Shenvi Nadkarni Award for Excellence in ENT in 2003. She did MS (2008) in ENT. She was awarded Dr. S. Kameswaran Gold Medal for standing 1st in the all-India DNB (2009) Examination. She trained at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, completing the HBNI Fellowship in Head & Neck Oncosurgery (2011) and Fellowship in Skull Base Surgery (2012). She joined SGRD in 2012, and is currently Professor of ENT and Head Neck Surgery.

She has received hands-on training on Cochlear Implant, Voice and Laser Surgery, and Microsurgical techniques from institutes including AIIMS, New Delhi, BLK Superspeciality Hospital, New Delhi, and Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education, Mumbai. She was cleared the basic course in Biomedical Research organized by ICMR and NIE securing highest marks.

Dr. Pooja was invited to present her paper on Giant Angiofibromas at the 5th World Congress for Endoscopic Surgery of the Brain, Skull Base and Spine at Vienna, Austria in 2012. She has also delivered lectures and participated as Faculty at numerous National Conferences.

Her main areas of interest are Head & Neck Surgery, Skull Base Surgery and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.
