Department of Pediatrics - Facilities

INTRODUCTION:

Pediatrics department affiliated to Sri Guru Ram Das University health Sciences Amritsar caters to Amritsar Urban & Rural areas, district Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Batala, Tarn Taran, Patti and also receives referrals from rest of Punjab. We deliver following services:

FACILITIES:-

SERVICES DELIVERED IN NICU:-

All neonates microprime, i.e. 500 to 1000 grams Very  Low birth weight, Preterms, Terms IUGR, and all sick newborns, HIE, Meconium aspiration are taken care of with facilities given bellow:- 

Phototherapy, Central line Oxygenation, CPAP, Ventilators  Open care radiant warmer Paramonitors, Pulse Oxymeter, Multi parameter, Central Suction & O_2,  Infusion Pump,  Resuscitation Kit, Endotrachel Tubes , ABG Machine, Portable X-Ray Machine, Crash cart,  S. Bilirubino meter, O₂  Hood, Nebulizer, Ultrasound Machine, Ambubags, Laryngoscope, IV Fluids, Intraosseus, Exchange transfusion, IG Feeding, Pediatric Surgery support for minor & Majors Surgical Emergencies is given, Surfactant therapy.

SERVICES DELIVERED IN PICU: -

All kinds of Emergencies shock, head injuries poly trauma, burns, DKA, Dengue shock, bleeding disorder, meningitis, acute Encephalitis syndrome are all dealt with missionary zeel.  Fully equipped with ventilator facilities available.

Thalassemia ward fully established free facilities for Thalassemia.  

Dengue ward 6 beds

The Pediatric Practice Site is interdependent we have a close working relationship with faculty, clinical, and administrative staff.  Clinical departments that provide ancillary support include Respiratory Therapy, Nutrition, Laboratory, Radiology, Rehabilitation Services, and Child Life. Other departments with which we work closely with Pediatric Surgery, Obstetrics, Radiology, Neurology, Cardiology & Orthopedics.
